Minor girl seeks PM’s help to protect family


Thiruvananthapuram, A 13-year-old girl student has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his help to protect her family from a notorious gangster who threatened her parents for not getting her married to him.The eighth class student of Holy Angels School Gowri Nandana, who made public an audio clip of the ganster threatening her father, said her family was denied justice by the top police officials having alleged nexus with the criminal gang led by Shankar at Pettah in the city.In her letter to Mr Modi a few days ago, the girl student said her father, who had also served in the Kargil war, was implicated in several fake cases previously by the gang using their influence with local police officials having alleged links with land mafia, sources said on Wednesday.In her complaint, the girl student raised several serious complaints against Pettah station Sub Inspector Gopakumar, Vithura station Circle Inspector Sreejith and Assistant Commissioner Aiswarya Dogra in connection with alleged police inaction and fake cases against her parents.
