AMPHAN’S REVISED EDITION “YASH”

Cyclone till 1999 never was dangerous in Odisha nor in India. For the first time the super cyclone made each Indian conscious of the great loss occurred by it. After the same many cyclones were there. Few of them being more forceful, people suffered a lot of loss. Specially in coastal Odisha, more ever in Bay of Bengal low pressure turned into depression moves inside sea taking the shape of cyclone & ultimately landfall occurred with devastation. According to IMD’s DG Dr Mrutyunjaya Mohapatra the cyclone Yash is yet to take it’s full form & may make landfall between Sagar Island & Northern Odisha. Some metrological experts opined that the cyclone may go to Bangladesh touching West Bengal & Odisha to some extend. On 26th evening the landfall may take place. Even Surendra Nath Pashupalk told Yash may made landfall touching Sundarban of Bangladesh. It may be recall that on 2020 may 20 cyclone Amphan made landfall at Bakhali of south 24 Pragana with wind speed of 240 km per hour if version IMD comes true then at the time of Yash’s landfall wind speed will be 165 km per hour & may increase to 185 km at the time of cyclone Amphan, some northern districts of Odisha including a part of West Bengal was affected. This time there is every possibility, that history may repeat. If this happens, then will not be Yash a revised edition of Amphan?
