Democracy is a noble way of politics to rule the people by the people. In 21st century more ever many countries of the World are democratic in nature being indirectly governed by the representatives elected for a certain period with more than half numerical strength. Democratic countries are with more freedom of citizens to react with either good or a bad decision taken by the GOVT. Also dual or multi party system is a common method to elect party-people going through party policy, aim & objects by the voters. India is a democratic country after independence since seven & half a decades having multi party system. Not only national parties, but also regional parties matters in Indian politics since a long. Many parties evolved regionally & no sooner its founder leader dies or left politics, the party shatter like a sand house. Our country, at present is with the trend to have more parties regionally than to have national parties. As 2nd most populated country of the World most of the people are with weak economy which is the only cause for voters to go biased. At the end of 20th century our country became more democratic in practice. Still as India is a developing country, here many voters due to poor education elect their representatives blindly in many times; as history says. People use to change party at the time of election either out of fear or favor. Last assembly election of West Bengal has seen many a changes in national party like BJP & regional party like Trunomul Congress(TMC) prior to vote. Last but not the least, after election also leader like Mukul Roy leaving BJP joined TMC again, though before voting he was in TMC. Is this not “Aya Ram-Gaya Ram politics”? If this trend will continue, democratic norm may be weakened.
