New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday said it will support the December 8 Bharat Bandh called by the farmers’ organisations in protest against the new agricultural laws and will work to make it successful.
Party Spokesperson Pawan Khera told reporters here that party workers will join the protests across the country to stand with the farmers and make the bandh successful.
Announcing this, he said, “We will be demonstrating the same at our party offices. It will be a step strengthening Rahul Gandhi’s support to the farmers. We will ensure that the demonstration is successful.”
He said the Congress stands with the farmers and will protest with them at the headquarters, district headquarters and tehsil headquarters of all the states against any injustice done to them and will make a strong effort to ensure success of the Bharat Bandh.
