Delhi hospitals left with only 32 COVID ICU beds: Official data

New Delhi: Only 32 COVID-19 ICU beds were available for critical patients at Delhi hospitals at 1300 hrs on Tuesday, Delhi COVID website data indicated.

According to website (http:corona.delhi.gov.in) data, while a total of 4,448 COVID-19 ICU beds were available, only 32 were vacant for critical patients.

Of the total 19,126 COVID beds, 16,587 are currently occupied whereas of the 4,222 ICU beds, 4416 are full.

At 2230 hrs on Monday, a total of 3,264 COVID-19 beds were available while only 52 COVID-19 ICU beds were vacant.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, earlier in the day, announced a six-day lockdown in Delhi, starting from 2200 hrs tonight till 0500 hrs of April 26 in the wake of a steep urge in the coronavirus cases.
