Flight Accident : AI CMD, Air India express CEO reaches Calicut, 17, including two pilots dead

Kozhikode, Air India Express Limited on Saturday said its Chairman and Managing Director Rajiv Bansal, CEO K Shyam Sundar,  Chief of Operations as well as the Chief of Flight Safety  Express have already reached Calicut and visited the flight accident site. A bulletin from Air India said the Go Teams and Angels of Air India have also reached Calicut, for being with the injured passengers as well as with the family members of the injured as

well as deceased passengers.Two special relief flights have been arranged from Delhi and one from Mumbai for rendering humanitarian assistance to all the passengers and the family members.The Emergency Response Director is coordinating with all the agencies in Calicut, Mumbai as well as Delhi, Dubai for effective emergency response. The AAIB, DGCA & Flight Safety Departments have reached the spot for investigating the accident,

the bulletin said. It said now there are 17 confirmed deceased including two pilots. The four cabin crew members are confirmed safe, the bulletin added. Meanwhile, The cockpit voice recorder has been recovered from the crashed Air India Express plane, which is going to be crucial in learning about the last moments before the flight skidded off the runway on Friday night.
