Imphal: Govindas Konthoujam, Congress MLA today resigned from the Congress party and a member of the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
Meanwhile, M Ramani, Secretary, Manipur Legislative Assembly issued a bulletin stating that the Bishnupur constituency seat is vacant as Govindas had resigned. Govindas had resigned as Congress President. Congress has now only 16 MLAs.
