New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced free ration to 72 lakh ration card holders in Delhi for the next two months.
Addressing a digital press conference, he said a financial aid of Rs 5,000 each will be provided to auto-rickshaw and taxi drivers in the city.
It does not mean that the Covid-19 lockdown will last for two months, the CM hastened to add.
The lockdown in the National Capital was extended till May 10 following a sharp rise in number of
fresh Covid-19 cases in the city.
