Impostor collecting money for Ram Temple in Ayodhya held


Meerut, A person impersonating as a member of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad(VHP) was apprehended here on Saturday when he was collecting money by giving fake receipts for the construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya.The arrested person was running a fake VHP office in Jagriti Vihar colony in the city. The impostor was caught by t he VHP members and handed over to the police.An FIR has been registered at the Medical police station area while police were on the search of other of his associates.VHP city coordinator Arjun Rathi said here that the impostor has been identified as Nagendra Rana of Muzaffarnagar, who was collecting money on the name of Ram temple at Ayodhya and they had opened an office in Jagriti Vihar colony.Two others– Samir and Anuj– were also working with Nagendra, but now they are missing.Mr Rathi said that VHP came to know about the fraud when the impostors were collecting money from Mahashiv temple in Chamundashewar on Friday.Circle Officer(CO), Cvil Lines Poonam Sirohi said that they have registered a case after Nagendra Rana. She said that other accused were being searched.The arrested persons used to give receipt for collecting money on the name of the Ram Temple being constructed in Ayodhya.
