Haldia: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday lambasted the BJP led Central government and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of destroying India’s economy due to his note bandy and other restrictive financial dictum.
Addressing a Trinamool Congress rally in this part of East Medinipur, TMC supremo Ms Banerjee also accused the BJP of orchestrating riots, killing people and torturing Dalit girls in the country.

She also launched a scathing attack on the saffron brigade and branded the BJP as the “biggest extortionist” in the world, which should “never be allowed to rule in Bengal”.
Ms Banerjee pointed her gun towards Mr Modi over the 2017 demonetisation and said the PM has destroyed the economy of the country.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has destroyed the economy of this country – from note bandi to bank bandi,” she alleged and added that the BJP government would soon sell even the Haldia port in the district.
Countering Mr Modi’s claim that the TMC was a government of tola bazz, Ms Banerjee charged the BJP and said ” ” their party (BJP) is the biggest ‘tolabaz’ (extortionist) in the world.
” Just see the amount of money it collected under the PM Cares Fund. If the people of West Bengal want peace and a state free from riots, then the Trinamool Congress is the only option,” she elaborated.
