Mercury Continues To Dip In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Mercury continued to drop in several parts of the State in the last 24 hours. As many as 6 places braved the cold weather with minimum temperatures hovering below 12 degree Celsius. As per the temperature recorded by the regional meteorological centre, Sonepur was the coldest town in Odisha with 9.4 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours followed by Daringbadi (9.5 degree C) and Phulbani (10.0 degree C). Similarly, Angul recorded the minimum temperature of 11.0 degree C, Koraput 11.2 degree C and Bhawanipatna 11.4 degree C. The places including Jharsuguda stood at 13.4 degree C and Talcher 13.5 degree C, Keonjhar 14.4 degree C, Balangir 14.0 degree and Malkangiri 14.5 degree C. The Twin City Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded the minimum temperature of 16.3 degree C and 16.0 degree C respectively.
