ODISHA AHEAD ON ROAD ACCIDENT

Death is inevitable. So far the human society is there, civilization goes ahead with the growth of science, arts, economics, mathematics and technical aspect of education in different field like medical and engineering. In 21st century science has taken a lion’s share as people of the world needs instant solution of each problem they used to face; how small or big may be. The invention of train, aero plane, car, ship including electronic gadget etc. makes man and his family even more comfortable. That’s why the ultra modern society at present never agree to waste time anywhere which is the root to make roads accident-prone. More ever, in Odisha number of accidents are more. In spite of corona pandemic with lockdown even accident also happens as usual for which Supreme Court Safety Committee expressed dissatisfaction. Committee’s chairman Justice A.M. Sapre anlalyzing road safety of odisha on 9th November categorically told the state’s chief  secretary that he himself will visit odisha to see what are the road safety measures already taken by government. Committee expressed that the death rate in road accident of odisha in the last year has been higher with 35 percent. In 2019, Odisha’s position was 12th in the accident list of the country. This should be reduced at any cost.  Committee also emphasized on reducing high speed, to wear helmet and seat-belt; not to drink at the time of driving etc. So, the state government, more ever, the transport department should take steps hereafter to reduce accident with a motto to keep it at least within one digit.
