Recovery of tunnel at LoC: Nityanad Rai


New Delhi, Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai on Tuesday said that recovery of a tunnel along with Indo-Pakistan border reveals the hostile plan of the neighboring country against India.Addressing the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel on its 56th Raising day at Chhawla here as a chief guest, the Minister said that these activities by the neighbor are to aid infiltration and smuggling of arms and drugs along the India-Pakistan border”. Appreciating the dedication and valour of India’s premier border guarding force, Mr Rai also said that valiant jawans have been guarding the country’s border in harsh conditions round the clock.Congratulating the BSF’s artillery division for completing 50 years of in serving the nation, he said the artillery division has a golden history and hope that this unit will keep its pride in serving the nation in future too.Praising women battalion of the Force, the Minister said this is an epitome of women power and it’s a praise worthy that they are equally engaged in protecting the India’s frontiers with their male counterpart. “Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Home Minister Amit Shah are proud of them”, he added.Referring to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mr Rai also appreciated the Force for extending their support to the various Covid hospitals in the country and assisted the administration in many ways.Many BSF troopers were infected with disease but their courage and enthusiasm remained intact during the pandemic period, the Minister said.
