SATYAGRAHA AT SINGHU!

The GOVT of India enacted three new agricultural laws to which farmers of Punjab at first reacted heavily & demanded to repeal three new laws to which the GOVT is reluctant to accept. Farmers not only reacted through statement, but also agitation took place. Even those farmers of Punjab started marathon walk up to Capital Delhi’s border, named Singhu where 24hrs agitation is taking place. Looking towards the plight of the farmers in winter’s night, Supreme Court took the matter seriously. When the Apex Court want to know, the steps taken by the Central GOVT in order to pacify the agitation, it could well realize the GOVT is taking time. So, at last, the Supreme Court suspended three newly enacted agricultural laws & side by side, also formed a four member committee to end the deadlock persisting between farmers & the Centre. After this even, today 9th round of talk started at Bigyan Bhawan where the GOVT side has been represented by the agricultural minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Railways, Commerce & Food minister Piyush Goyal & minister of state for commerce Som Prakash who is from Punjab with around 41 farmer union leaders. But it failed to break the ice as both sides unable to reach a common platform on the issues of repealing laws & the MSP Act which forced them to go for another meting on January 19 at 12pm. As Tomar told, the talk will be held with an open mind, now it is to be seen, which one or both the sides will go for a solution either by repealing the laws or making amendments.
