Corona pandemic in our state, though slightly serious, now the situation seems differed to certain degree. Since a week, the number of positive is moving forward & the death rate also. Till 17th july positive number reached 16,110 where as death figure raised to 83. Since some week the number of positive both in quarantine & local case is moving upwards, particularly in 4 districts. Those are Khordha, Cuttack, Jajpur & in the lead, it is Ganjam. Till today Ganjam crossed 5 thousand, Khordha 1744, Cuttack 1146 & the last but not the least jajpur reached 934 above. Out of 24 district above 700 positives identified on 17th July. State Government machinery, more ever the health department puzzled over the above four districts particularly. Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik also, as it seems, discussed over the same issue & instructed to find out the ways & means to get over positive number anyhow in those four districts. On Thursday night Chief secretary Asit Tripathy declared, including Ganjam another 3 above districts will remain under partial lockdown again from Friday night 9pm to july end. Rourkela city has been added with this micro lockdown. State health department is to go with the herculean task of bringing normalcy in positive cases not only four above said districts, but also Rourkela, Cuttack city & Capital Bhubaneswar. This is the real time to declare war against covid-19 in Odisha, otherwise the state may bear loss of life in thousands.
