Odisha took 21 long years to march from Super Cyclone to Tsunami readiness. For the first time in the history of our state, above said Super Cyclone 1999 around thousands precious human lives lost inside Bay of Bengal. From that day onwards the state government made different plan & Projects to face the Natural disaster with minimum loss of life & property. Before 2 decades, being the Central minister & since 20 years state Chief Minister Mr Naveen Pattnaik with his extra ordinary steps could able to make costal people fear free by bringing cyclone forecasting machines being installed at Paradip port & in some other places of Jagatsinghpur & Kendrapara district. Even Mr Pattnaik became more determined to make our costal areas 326 villages Tsunami free. With his quick steps in Ganjam district’s Buxipali & Ersama’s Nolia sahi became roll model Tsunami free village declared by UNESCO’s IOC Institute Odisha has been glorified & the Chief Minister for his quick decision has been praised by UNESCO. Not only that, state Government also trying hard to declared 326 villages & ULB to be Tsunami ready.
