Thane: When it comes to issuing of death certificates the TMC is very prompt. This was evident from an incident from an incident when the staff of the TMC called up a Thane man on Tuesday and informed him that he is dead and should collect his death certificate.
The unprecedented goof up gave shock to the 55 year old school teacher, Chandrashekar Joshi, who received a call from the TMC and informed that his death certificate was ready.
When he went to the cell to check up he was informed that as per the data received from ICMR he was declared dead on April 22,2021. The certificate mentioned that he was Covid patient ten months ago.
The family of Joshi including his 80 old mother and other family members are shocked over the incident.
Joshi told the media that even if he was tested positive in October 2020 he was quarantined and recovered now now and healty.
The Civic officials did not not respond to qeries regarding the goof up and repeated attempts to get details failed.
