Bhubaneswar: A senior clerk in Bhubaneswar landed in Vigilance net for allegedly acquiring wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The Vigilance sleuths conducted raid at residences of Ashok Kumar Mishra, presently working as the Senior Assistant in Directorate of Distance & Continuing Education (DDCE), Utkal University, at Vani Vihar campus, Mancheswar and Patia in Bhubaneswar.
The simultaneous raids were also carried out at his DDCE office room in Vani Vihar, his native house at Durgapur village in Cuttack district following a search warrant issued by the Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
During search, the anti-corruption wing officials detected one more double-storey building of Mishra at Kalinga Nagar in Bhubaneswar and seized cash amounting to Rs 3.55 lakh.
