Bhubaneswar: As many as 3025 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s tally surged to to 10,6561 informed the Government. Of the total fresh cases detected from all 30 districts, 1844 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1181 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said the Health and Family Welfare Department. Khordha recorded highest 666 cases followed by Cuttack (312 ) and Mayurbhanj (215). With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 28,719. However, 77,286 patients have recovered in the state so far. It is pertinent to mention here that total 50,421 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 18,39, 854 tests have been conducted in the state.
