Bhubaneswar: Another 3219 persons in Odisha tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours taking the state’s tally to 1,09,780 informed the Government. Of the total fresh cases detected from 29 districts, 1931 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1288 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department. Khordha recorded highest 731 cases followed by Cuttack (400) and Balasore (194). With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 28,443. However, 80,770 patients have recovered in the state so far. It is pertinent to mention here that total 51,245 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 18,91, 099 tests have been conducted in the state.
