Bhubaneswar: Squally wind speed gusting to 70 kmph is likely to prevail along and off Odisha coast as the depression over Bay of Bengal intensified into a deep depression, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
The Depression over west central Bay of Bengal intensified into a Deep Depression. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh coast between Narsapur and Vishakhapatnam, close to Kakinada during the early morning of 13th October as a Deep Depression with wind speed of 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph, the IMD said in its bulletin.
Under its influence, squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph is prevailing over west central Bay of Bengal and along and off south Odisha coasts, and 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is also prevailing over northwest Bay of Bengal and north Odisha coast today, the Regional Meteorological Centre said.
