Petrol prices in Delhi hit record high


New Delhi, Petrol and diesel prices continued to rise across the nation for the second day in a row on Thursday, taking the petrol price in the National Capital to an all-time high.

As per Indian Oil Corporation Limited, petrol prices in Delhi rose by 23 paise and reached Rs 84.20 per litre. Earlier, the highest price of petrol was Rs 84 per litre on October 4, 2018.

After October 4, 2018, fuel prices in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata also stayed at the highest level.

In the financial capital, petrol prices rose 23 paise and touched Rs 90.83 per litre, Chennai recorded 21 paise hike, raising the price to Rs 86.96 and Kolkata saw 24 paise hike, taking the fuel price to Rs 85.68 per litre.
Diesel prices rose from 26 paise to 29 paise per litre.

Diesel price in Mumbai and Kolkata hiked by 29 paise and 27 paise to Rs 81.07 and Rs 77.97 per litre respectively, record high in both the metros.

Diesel prices in Delhi hiked by 26 paise and reached highest level Rs 74.38 per litre after July 30, 2020.
In Chennai, diesel prices rose 26 paise to Rs 79.72 per litre which is highest level after October 19, 2018.
