Chennai: England skipper Joe Root was presented
a special cap by his team mate Ben Stokes to mark his 100th
test appearance.
The special cap was given to Root by Stokes before the start
of the First test against India at the M A Chidambaram stadium
here today.
England National Selector Ed Smith also presented a special
cap to the skipper, who made his debut against India during
the 2012-13 tour and also played his 50th test against India
in Visakhapatnam five years ago, to mark the occasion.
Wicket keeper Jos Butler was also presented a special cap
from Joe Root to mark his 50th test appearance.
