New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday exhorted the people to demand for COVID-19 vaccination saying everyone has the right to a safe life.
He said this as part of “SpeakUpForVaccinesForAll” campaign launched by the party on social media, demanding COVID-19 vaccine for all citizens to protect them from the virus.
“Corona vaccine is the need of the country. You all should also raise your voice for it. Everyone has the right to a safe life,” he said in a tweet.
The demand comes in the wake of a surge in COVID-19 infections as 1,68,912 fresh cases and 904 fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours in the country pushing the tally and death toll to 1,35,27,717 and 1,70,179 respectively.
