Chennai: Keen to break the title jinx, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), after making a winning start against champions Mumbai Indians, will be eyeing for its second win when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
in the IPL T-20 match here tomorrow. On the other hand, SRH after having lost their opening match to KKR by ten runs, is aiming for is first win in
what promises to be another run feast at the Chepauk Stadium. Ahead of the contest, the Virat Kohli-led RCB got a major boost when the inform Devdutt Padikkal–who was among the runs in the Vijay hazare Trophy and the syed Mustaq Ali Trophy matches–is available for selection after having
recovered from COVID and is likely to open with his skipper.
In the event, if Padikkal fails to make it to the playing XI, Washington Sundar will continue to partner Kohli at the top of the order. Warner, after failing in the last match, needs to fire at the top of the order and it remains to be seen whether SRH will promote Bairstow to partner the skipper in place of Wridhaman Saha, who managed a mere seven runs.
Vijay Shankar’s presence adds strength to the middle order, while SRH has a complete bowling unit that comprised of Bhuvaneswar Kumar, Sandeep Sharma and yorker specialist T Natarajan, besides the always reliable spinners Rashid Khan and Mohd Nabi.
