Very severe cyclonic storm Tauktae lay centred over east-central Sea

Hyderabad: The very severe cyclonic Storm “Tauktae” (pronounced as Tau’Te) over east-central Arabian Sea moved nearly northwards with a speed of about 11 kmph during past 06 hours and lay centred at 0830 hours on Sunday over east-central Arabian Sea, Meteorological Centre said in a special bulletin here on Sunday.

It is very likely to intensify further during next 24 hours. It is very likely to move north northwestwards and reach Gujarat coast in the evening hours of May 17 & cross Gujarat coast between Porbandar & Mahuva (Bhavnagar district) around 18th May early morning.

The bulletin warned for next five days for Telangana that thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds speed ranging 30-40 KMPH is likely to occur at a FEW places in all districts of Telangana during the next 24 hours.

Thunderstorm accompanied with Lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal Rural, Warangal Urban, Jangoan, Siddipet, Nagarkurnool, Warnaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulambha Gadwal of Telangana on May 17.

Thunderstorm accompanied with Lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Jagityal, Rajanna Siriciall, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal Rural, Warangal Urban, Jangoan, Siddipet and Nagarkurnool of Telangana on May 18.

Thunderstorm accompanied with Lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulambha Gadwal of Telangana on May 19.

Thunderstorm accompanied with Lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Adilabad, Komaram Bheem, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkhagiri, Vikarabada, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagrkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulambha Gadwal of Telangana on May 20, the bulletin added.
