Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday paid a visit to state-run Gandhi Hospital here, the nodal hospital for Covid-19 treatment in the state.
During his one-hour visit to the Covid-19 emergency ward, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and also the Out-Patient ward at the Gandhi hospital, Mr Rao interacted with the patients and inquired about the treatment being provided to them.
The Chief Minister also assured them that the state government will make all efforts to provide the best treatment.
Expressing satisfaction over the services being rendered by the Gandhi Hospital, he appreciated the Junior doctors, nursing and other staff members who were rendering services to the Covid-19 patients.
The Chief Minister also inquired with the hospital authorities on the availability of emergency medicines as well as oxygen supply.
He instructed the hospital authorities to keep adequate stock of medicines and other supplies to ensure that the patients receive best possible treatment.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar , Secretary (Medical and Health) S A M Rizvi , Covid Special Officer Rajasekhar Reddy and Gandhi Hospital Superintendent Rajarao accompanied the Chief Minister.
