Thunderstorm with lightning & gusty winds likely to occur in Telangana, AP: Met

Hyderabad: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds speed ranging 30- 40 Kmph is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana during the next 24 hours, Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.

In a bulletin here, it said that the same situation is likely to prevail in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh (NCAP) & Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the same period.

Thunderstorm with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh on May 24, 25 and in Rayalaseema on May 24.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next five days, the bulletin said.

The maximum temperatures are likely to be 2-4 degree Celsius more as compared to the normal Temperatures at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on May 25, 26 and 27.

Rain occurred at isolated places in Telangana during the last 24 hours.

The highest maximum temperatures of 41.6 degree Celsius was recorded in Medak of Telangana on Saturday.
