Jaunpur, Following orders from the District Magistrate, an FIR was filed against 32 people for furnishing wrong addresses before going for a novel coronavirus test who later tested positive in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur, the DM said on Tuesday. The FIR was registered on Monday night. DM Dinesh Kumar Singh here said that 149 people tested positive for the contagion in the district on Monday out of which there are 32 such people who provided incorrect addresses and mobile numbers at the time of the test. When contacted on those addresses and contact numbers, it was revealed that those people don’t live there. The DM said that a letter was written to the Superintendent of Police (SP) seeking the registration of an FIR against these 32 individuals, late Monday evening. On the directions of SP Ashok Kumar, an FIR was filed against 32 people at the Kotwali and Line Bazar police stations on the basis of the list provided by the District Magistrate on Monday night itself. The SP said that police are on the lookout for these individuals.
