Ayodhya Bhoomi Pujan; Rituals continue for second day

Ayodhya, Religious rituals continued for the second day here on Tuesday in the run up for the grand Bhoomi Pujan of the Ram temple at the Ramjanambhoomi premises on Wednesday noon.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation of the grand 161 feet tall Ram temple and will attend the Bhoomi pujan along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and other senior seers and dignitaries. Amid Corona scare and security apprehension, the entire Ayodhya has turned into a fortress. Around 175 people have been invited for the function.A total of 21 of priests from Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj started the ritual of Bhoomi pujan by organising Gauri Ganesh Puja on Monday morning at the Bhoomi pujan  site in the Ramjanambhoomi premises.Today, the priest will hold puja at the Hanumangarhi and Ram ki chavni temples  while in the evening they will perform aarti of the Saryu ghat.Sources said on Tuesday morning Ramacharya puma along with dhawaj and Nisan puja of Lord Hanuman were done at the Hanumangarhi  temple .However except for the priests and some Shree Ramjanambhoomi Tirath Khetra Trust members none were allowed to attend this puja due to security for Corona and threat from the terror angle .Pandit Kalikram has handed over four sets of dresses for Ram Lalla along with religious flag to the head priest of the Ram Lalla temple Acharya  Satendra Das here on Monday  morning before the Bhoomi pujan ritual commenced. According to the tradition, Ram Lalla will wear white dress today, red tomorrow and Navratna clad green dress on Wednesday, the day of Bhoomi Pujan. Besides Ram Lalla deity will wear yellow dress on Thursday. All these dresses were given by Pandit Kalikaram and each set also have dresses of Bharat, Laxman, Shatrughan, Hanuman along with back side curtain and bed sheets. Along with these dresses set, seven religious and victory flags were also presented.Pandit  Kalikaram is presenting the dresses for the idols for the last two years.  He will also light deshi ghee diyas at almost the temples of Ayodhya in the evening of August 5.
