Nagpur,Vice President of Bouddha Mahasangh and President of Akhil Bhartiya Bhikkhu Mahasang, Bhadant Sadanand Mahathero passed away on Tuesday at a hospital in Nagpur, sources from the family said on Wednesday. He was 81. On October 14, 1956, when Dr Ambedkar embraced Buddhism in Nagpur, four Bhikkhu were initiated with Dhamma Diksha. Bhadant Sadanand Mahathero was one among those four bhikkhus. The last rites will be performed on Wednesday, August 5. The mortal body has been kept in Buddha Vihar, Kamptee Road here.
