38 more test positive in Arunachal, total count 2155


Itanagar, Thirty-eight more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Arunachal Pradesh, taking the state’s tally to 2,155.Of the 38 new cases, 11 were reported from East Kameng, five from East Siang, four from Lower Siang, three each from West Siang, Tirap and Itanagar Capital Complex, two each from Anjaw, Papum Pare, Tawang and Namsai, and one from Upper Siang, as per the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services (DHS).Nine among 11 cases from East Kameng are Central Para-Military Forces (CPMF) personnel while two are truck drivers detected at checkgate. Three out of the five cases from East Siang are also CPMF personnel.Out of the four cases from Lower Siang, three are truck drivers detected at checkgate and one is a shopkeeper. All the three cases from the Itanagar Capital Complex were reported from Banderdewa checkgate.”Thirty-three cases are asymptomatic and five symptomatic,” it said.As per the bulletin issued by the DHS last night, 52 COVID-19 patients were discharged following their recovery from the virus.Of the 52 discharged, 25 were from East Siang, 17 from Itangar Capital Complex, six from West Siang and four from Namsai.Total active cases in the state stands at 670, discharged 1,482 and three death.
