PRRESCRITION & DOCTORS

The universal truth with Indian Doctors is only their handwriting in prescriptions. As it is ineligible to read, four years back the Medical Council of India circulated a notification among Doctors to use capital letters particularly in prescription. On 2016 September 21st this has been issued. Following this even state like Maharashtra & Jharkhand were with special circular to write prescription in capital letters which make medicine shops eligible to supply right medicines to their customers. Again the history repeated as recently in a case Odisha High Court’s Judge instructed the Registrar of the Court to write letter to the state Government, particularly to Chief Secretary. Justice Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi expressed the hope that like above two states  Odisha needs too a special circular. If prescription is eligible, then medicine cannot be wrong. To write prescription in capital letters now depend upon the High Court Registrar’s letter & state Government’s step fully.
