Bhubaneswar: As many as 3777 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s tally today mounted to 146894.Yesterday, the state had reported highest single-day spike of 3996 positive cases.Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2191 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1586 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.Khordha recorded highest 815 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (368 ) and Puri (237). With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 34163. However, 1,12,062 patients have recovered in the state so far. It is pertinent to mention here that total 50,979 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 2,374,620 tests have been conducted in the state.
