Balasore: Ruling BJD continues to strengthen its lead in Balasore Sadar Assembly Constituency by 5473 votes at the end of 11th rounds of counting.
In eleventh round, BJD candidate was leading by a meagre of 171 votes by securing 3262 votes as compared to 3091 of BJP.
So far, the ruling BJD has garnered 40,749, BJP 35,276, and Congress 2398. Independent candidate Benu Mausa has secured 352 votes.
A three-layer security arrangement has been made for counting of votes in the Assembly Constituency underway at the Collectorate here.
Round-wise results are being be uploaded on the official website- results.eci.gov.in. The same are also being disseminated outside the counting centre as well as CEO’s office.
It is pertinent to mention here that by-elections to two Assembly Constituencies- Balasore and Tirtol- were necessitated after the demise of respective MLAs Madan Mohan Dutta and Bishnu Charan Das.
