Central team in Maharashtra to assess damages


Aurangabad, A six -member team, comprising of high-level central administrative officials will start their two-day visits here from Sunday to asses losses of kharif crops due to rains during the monsoon season according to the revenue department sources.The team led by Ramesh Ganta comprising Mr R B Kaul, Mr Yaspal, R P Singh, Tushar Vyas, S S Sahare IS arriving here on Sunday to asses the losses due to heavy rains.The team will be divided in two and one team will meet here with revenue officials at the Divisional Commissioner’s office where the concerned officials will present detailed reports to the team.While another team will reach to Osmanabad district to asses the losses report from revenue administration,they added.After their survey the team will submit its report to the central government to take further decision, they said.It may noted that due to the heavy rains 37 lakh farmers last their crops spread over 26 lakh hectors of land.
