Cardiac specialist Devi Shetty arrived to check BCCI President at hospital
Kolkata: Indian cricket board chief Sourav Ganguly is
doing well and had good sleep last night with all parameters of his health working sound, even as cardiac specialist Devi Shetty arrived in the city
on Tuesday to check the former India captain in the Woodlands hospital.
Meanwhile, the nine-member medical board set up for the President of
Board of Control for Cricket in India is now meeting to brief the visiting cardiac specialist, who has already reached the hospital at south Kolkata,
said the official sources.
On Saturday an angioplasty was done on the 48-year-old cricketing icon
immediately after his admission for a blocked artery. He was suffering from triple vessel disease.
Dr Shetty is expected to advise regarding the two more partially
affected arteries.
The medic had a virtual meeting with the medical team on Monday.
The hospital authorities already ruled out bypass surgery on the
ailing BCCI chief, who may be released at the earliest from the hospital.
