After JEE Main, BMC Gears Up For NEET 2020 On September 13

Bhubaneswar: With the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 set to begin on September 13, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is making elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the examination. Briefing about the preparedness, BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary said 15,000 students will appear in the exam to be held at 31 centres in the state capital. The candidates and their parents will be accommodated in five engineering colleges here and a medical team will be deployed at each accommodation centre. Besides, adequate number of police personnel will be deployed to control crowd outside the exam centres. COVID-19 guidelines and social distancing measures will be strictly followed, the Commissioner added. Over 43,000 students will attend the exam in 63 centres across the state. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main was conducted across the country from September 1 to September 6. In Odisha, over 38,000 aspirants has appeared in the test at 26 examination centres in seven cities/towns- Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Berhampur, Rourkela, Sambalpur, Balasore and Dhenkanal.
