All employees selected in Railways to be appointed: Yadav

New Delhi, Railway Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Vinod Kumar Yadav said on Tuesday that the staff recruitment process for the Railways has been completed and appointments will be made in due course and by August 2021 training will also be completed. Mr Yadav told reporters here through video conferencing here that appointment letters have been sent to those who have been recruited in the Railways and they will be provided with the necessary training by August 2021.He admitted that there was a delay in sending appointment letters to the newly-recruited employees due to the Coronavirus pandemic. He said the capacity of the training centres has been affected due to the compulsion to comply with the Covid-19 protocol. For that reason there was a problem in sending the appointment letters. Now a letter has been sent to all those appointed. He said computerised examinations will be held from December 15 to 18 for 1,663 posts of steno and teachers, while for 35,208 non-technical posts, examinations will start from December 28 and will be completed by March-end. Examinations will be conducted between April and June 2021 for recruitment to the track mentor and other technical posts (1,03,769 posts) in the safety category for which a massive two crore 44 lakh applications have been received for a total of 1,40,640 posts.
