BAR OR DEBAR

Everybody knows, at the time of Mughal period, many century old religious places were either broken or statues were disfigure & even in some places their religious centre erected for which before 2years the Honorable Supreme Court ordered to minority people to have the prayer place somewhere other than the disputed site at Ayodhya. Likewise, A Varanasi civil court ordered before 24hrs to the ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) to survey the Mosque located adjacent to Kashi Vishwanath temple as some petitioners of temple claimed that the land where the mosque stood, belongs to them actually. For the concerned Gyanavyapi Mosque, the management committee & Anjuman Intazamia Maszid opposed the petition. The Varanasi civil court in addition to a physical survey by the ASI, also ordered that a five member committee be constituted where two of the members should be from minority community. The committee is to trace if there is any temple ever existed before the mosque was built or super imposed. If so, the committee is to find out the size, age, monumental design etc & which kind of Hindu deity was there. Survey proceeding can’t be watched nor it can briefed to media. More ever the result of the survey will be given to the court in a sealed cover. The claimed from the temple site is that, after Mughal emperor Aurang zeb pulled down a portion of the 2000yr old Kashi Viswanath temple, in 1669 Gyanavapi Mosque came out. The petitioners also pointed out that king Vikramaditya had built the temple say, before 2050yrs ago. Not only that, also in 1809 a riot took place at the Gyanavapi compound. The petitioner alleged also the ground floor cellar of the site is still in possession of them & the structure standing over it, is being utilized by the minority having no right, title or interest of any kind. As the occupation of the land is under question mark it should be ruled illegal & it may be restored to temple authority. Now who knows, the history may repeat or may not?
