New Delhi: The Election Commission on Wednesday announced to hold biennial election to the Council of states from Kerala on April 12 to fill up the seats of retiring members.
Term of three Rajya Sabha members –Abdul Wahab, K K Ragesh, Vayalar Ravi– elected from Kerala is due to expire on their retirement on April 24, 2021, a statement from Election Commission said on Wednesday.
The notification for the polls will be issued on March 24 and the last date for filing it is March 31.
Scrutiny of nominations will be conducted on April 3 while last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 5.
The polling will be held from 0900 hours to 1600 hours.
