Bombay HC stays demolition of Kangana’s office

Mumbai, The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to stop the demolition process of Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s office here at Pali Hill in Bandra.
The 33-year-old actor had moved the High Court, challenging the notice issued by BMC for ”illegal alterations” at her bungalow.
The matter is set for hearing on September 10.
Earlier in the day, the BMC demolished an illegal construction at the actor’s office here. Reacting to the BMC’s action, Ms Ranaut, in a series of tweet, compared the BMC officials as “Babur and his army”.
“There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bollywood watch now this is what Fascism looks like”, Ms Ranaut wrote on twitter.
Ranaut has been engaged in a Twitter spat with the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government in Maharashtra after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
