Osmanabad, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray here on Wednesday visited the rain-hit areas and inspected the crops damaged by recent rains.His visit comes two days after the NCP chief Sharad Pawar and the Opposition BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis toured the district.Accompanied by Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, CM Thackeray went the Kategaon village and interacted with the affected farmers.”Please, don’t loose patience as the state government is always with the farmers. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government is committed to restore normalcy as soon as possible,” assured the CM. “The state cabinet will meet in a day or two to take a decision on the relief to be given to the affected farmers,” he added.The district of Osmanabad has emerged as the most hard-hit place from the recent vagaries of weather. At least 48 people have died in rain-related incidents in the different parts of the state.
