Bhubaneswar: While the cold wave condition already gripping people in many parts of Odisha, the Regional Meteorological Centre here has predicted that the minimum temperature will further drop by four to six degree Celsius in next four days.
The mercury will fall in coming days as dry and chilly winds from north and north-east is likely to prevail in the state from December 19, the weathermen said.
“Dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha in next five days. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Nayagarh, Kalahandi, Dhenkanal and Malkangiri in the morning hours on December 18 and 19,” the MeT Centre said.
The minimum temperature was above the normal during the last few days. Many places witnessed a rise of three to five degree Celsius in the night temperature. People of the state will witness colder days as temperature will gradually change after December 19.
