Congress uses words “Gandhi” and “Gandhi Philosophy” only for votes and power: Chandrakar


Raipur, Senior BJP leader and former Chhattisgarh Minister Ajay Chandrakar said on Sunday that it is unfortunate that no programme has been organized by the Congress government in the state on the occasion of 100 years of the first visit to Chhattisgarh by the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.In a series of tweet Mr Chandrakar alleged that the Congress party and Congress Government in Chhattisgarh uses words like “Gandhi” and “Gandhi Philosophy” only to garner votes and power. Several generations who were in power and the present Congress Government in Chhattisgarh are using the term “Gandhi” but they have not cared to organize a single programme to mark the centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi’s first visit to Chhattisgarh, he said.Paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi, he said that Gandhiji had come to Chhattisgarh for the first time on December 20, 1920 and today is an occasion to mark 100 years of Gandhiji’s first Chhattisgarh visit. He also attacked Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in his tweet.
