Thane, Thane district court has ordered the Palghar Zill Parishad vice president, Nilesh Sambre to surrender in the agitation and rasta roko carried out by them at Wada in Thane district, against the bad condition of roads, two months back.The District Judge and Additional Sessions Judge Hemant Patwardhan in his order on Monday confirmed the bail granted to the 22 other accused in the case.In the order, the judge has ordered Sambre the chief of the Jijau Sanghatana to surrender to the police within four days of the receipt of the court order. In his order, the judge taking a serious note of the role of Sambre stated, “Though there are total 23 applicants in the matter, the court has to differentiate between the applicants on the basis of their activities as reflected in a first information report. It is apparent on the record that accused no 8 Nilesh Sambare has acted as a leader, conveyor of the entire agitation knowingly that he did not obtain any permission for said agitation from the concern police authorities and so also aware being social workers and vice president of Zilha Parishad with various restrictions are in force either issued by police or by District Collector and in spite of the fact being aware of particular pandemic situation has not only instigated other applicants to gather on the particular spot but further instigated them to agitate unauthorizedly. “Though agitation was for social purpose it cannot be allowed to be carried out without obtaining necessary permission from the authorities and accused has completely committed breach of all those orders with his instigation to other persons to gather on the spot, the order stated.
