COVID Testing Centre To Be Set Up At Bhubaneswar Airport

Bhubaneswar: A COVID testing centre will be set up at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Odisha capital, informed Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhary today.

In the case of detection of COVID-19 symptoms in any passenger during screening, he/she will undergo mandatory test, he said.

“Currently, there is no rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in Bhubaneswar. The trends are similar to that of the previous month. However, we have taken precautionary measures and intensified the enforcement,” the BMC Commissioner said.

He further informed that detailed contact tracing of COVID-19 positive persons in the city has started from yesterday. Efforts are underway to increase the number of testings. More testings will be conducted in the areas from where COVID cases are being detected, he added.
