COVID VACCINE & INDIA

Corona started from China & the real truth has not come out yet. After Wuhan of China in the last part of the year 2019, this epidemic spread all through the World including India. Crores above affected & death number crossed lakhs which undoubtedly creates havoc. By using mask, sanitizer & applying method of lockdown, shutdown, contentment zone & social distance the number of positives & death slowly comes down. Still the epidemic has not been stopped where as many countries like Britain, German, Russia, India, China & America after feeling the emergency of vaccine, effort has been taken by them widely to produce the same. Till now no vaccine is 100% successful, though a pharma company of Britain named Pfizer combinedly with German’s BioNTech pharma produced Pfizer vaccine claiming that this will give 95% protection against covid-19. Even on 2nd December 2020, UK approved the above said vaccine granting a temporary authorization for its emergency use after getting approval of the country. On 4th December Baharain granted to use two dose vaccine. Also on the same day Pfizer India office submitted application to the Drug Controller General of India(DCGI), seeking emergency use authorization(EUA) for itscovid-19 vaccine in India. Here one thing should not be neglected by the GOVT of India in regard to Pfizer vaccine, that the same needs extreme low temperature of minus 70 Degree Celsius to sustain. In a country like India, to maintain such cold chain facility, especially in smaller town & rural areas poses a big challenge for its delivery. A vaccine made in India named Covaxin in its prime stage has been given on 20th November to Anil Vig, the health minister of Haryana who is 67 years old & recently he is suffering from covid-19 positive, passing days together now in a private hospital of Ambala. If the fact is this, then only for emergency use limited number of Pfizer vaccine can be ordered by the DCGI after consulting WHO. Unless & until any vaccine is 100% successful huge amount should not be purchased. Otherwise it will be a net loss of the Country’s revenue.
