DRUG RACKET & CAPITAL

Drug business is not new to our country and since many years; knowing it is illegal and banned by government, some unscrupulous people used to handle this as a business. In Odisha drug selling came before few years. According to newspapers report, first of all banned drug selling started at Balesore. When drug includes Charas, Brown-sugar, hashish etc; it also encourage mafia, don and ‘dada culture’ which creates rampant indiscipline, lawlessness and hatred among people who are habituated with above drugs. As the capital of Odisha, Bhubaneswar now is a metro city having 11,63,000 people; many of them are unemployed having little education and some are habituated criminals. They are drug participant for which a few year back drug business started at Bhubaneswar, particularly at Haladipada Basti since 3 years as reported many a times in print media. Even just before 24 hours, more than 1kg brown sugar has been seized from Barmunda Bus-stand from a drug peddler of Balesore’s. Jaleswar named   Sheikh Hasmi Bux. Before 3 weeks Sheikh Raja of Jaleswar’s Rajput Basti caught red-handed by NCB people with 700gm brown-sugar at capital. Only in this year around 30kg. brown sugar has been seized which amounts to Rs.33 crores. It clearly indicates; for drug-peddlers outside of Odisha, Bhubaneswar is a heaven  to continue their unfair trade. The police and NCB team should break the brown-sugar business chain from Balesore to Bhubaneswar and at the same time NCB, particularly at Balesore to keep unemployed youth safe from the clutch of drug which usually mar the future generation.
