New Delhi : Farmers’ agitation on Saturday entered day 38 at the National Capital’s borders with ex-servicemen and celebrities also reaching out to them and more peasants from Punjab, Uttarakhand, UP and Rajasthan making it to the protest site.
The farmers continue to stand their ground with their eyes on talks scheduled for January 4 , hoping for a positive outcome on their demand of annulling the three farm laws.
Meanwhile, Swaraj India’s Yogendra Yadav has said that if their is no suitable conclusion to the talks on Monday, there will be a tractor rally organised on January 6.
Farmer groups from Punjab continued to join at the Singhu border in large numbers, while most of the peasants from UP joined their counterparts at the Ghazipur Border despite the harsh cold wave conditions and the light rain along with dense fog witnessed in Delhi and NCR region.
Farmers were also present at the Palwal border who had come from Rajasthan and MP , while there were local reports of more farmers heading towards Delhi borders from northern states.
More participation from children and women is also being seen at the Singhu border in support of the farmers.
Important border points of capital continue to remain shut that include Singhu, Auchandi ,Piau Maniyari, Saboli, Mangesh and the Chilla , Ghazipur Borders are closed for traffic coming from Noida & Ghaziabad to Delhi because of farmer protests, according to Delhi Traffic Police.
